Charmayne Planter is a researcher, writer, and environmental advocate dedicated to advancing cultural storytelling, climate justice, and community-based solutions. With academic training in geography and environmental studies, her work centers on the intersection of land, identity, and social equity. As the founder of “Planter Girl”, she launched a multimedia platform that brings together public education, creative expression, and sustainable living to engage young women of color in environmental justice. Through her leadership, “Planter Girl” serves as a space for collaboration, education, and empowerment where culture and conservation lead in service to a equitable future of environmentalism.

      Brand Partnerships Manager Adjoa Baah currently serves as the Brand Partnerships Manager for Planter Girl. A Spelman College graduate, Adjoa is a storyteller and strategist passionate about creativity, empowerment, and representation. In her role, she helps grow the brand, lead fundraising efforts, and build meaningful collaborations that uplift underrepresented women.

      Advocacy & Communications Associate Evelynn Coffie is a Grinnell College graduate passionate about storytelling, liberation, and placemaking for young women. She currently serves as the Advocacy & Communications Associate for Planter Girl, helping build spaces where women can define themselves on their own terms and connect deeply with the environment.

      Design Associate YsabellaPunzalan is the acting Design Associate of Planter Girl. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, she brings a thoughtful, multidisciplinary approach to her creative work.
